In November our Aboriginal Elders Group enjoyed a trip to Southwest Rocks.
Melbourne cup was celebrated with our group at Cockburn Cottage, Kootingal on the 8th November 2018.
Member for Tamworth, Kevin Anderson, and Minister for Disability Services, Ray Williams, visited Gunnedah Shire Council on Friday. They announced $35,000 in funding to support the Council’s transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
The funding will be used to continue to deliver frontline services, improve transparency and increase engagement with local Aboriginal families.

GoCo Community Care is celebrating the role grandparents and older people play in the community with a Grandparents Day get together for residents to connect across generations.
The event, supported by Family and Community Services NSW (FACS), will be held on Sunday, 29 October from 10am to 1pm. Read more »
GoCo Community Care is taking time to care for carers in Gunnedah during National Carers Week (15-21 October).
Carers are invited to GoCo’s ‘Peace and Pamper Day’. Relaxing massages, manicures and a light morning tea will be provided. Also, GoCo staff will be on hand to provide information about support and social activities for carers and the people they care for. Read more »
