Meals on Wheels Volunteers are needed in Barraba and Nundle
GoCo Volunteers help our older clients stay healthy and independent for longer by delivering a variety of meals to their home through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme service, Meals on Wheels. A range of frozen and hot meals are delivered to our clients in Barraba and Nundle based on a monthly roster. Volunteers can nominate their availability in advance

GoCo VOLUNTEERS:
- Enjoy helping people and have great people skills
- Are sociable and like a chat
- Are patient and considerate
- Have spare time and are reliable
- Are available on regular days OR
- Are available for a set period of time OR
- Are happy to be contacted for last meal deliveries
- Understand and are able to maintain client privacy & confidentiality
- Are willing to undertake other training as required
DUTIES:
- Collecting and delivering hot and frozen meals to GoCo clients
- Driving GoCo vehicles or your personal vehicle to deliver meals
- Follow Meals on Wheels Inc, guidelines for safe food handling and delivery including temperature checks
- Check on client wellbeing and report back to GoCo Coordinator
ELIGIBILITY:
- Meals on Wheels Volunteers MUST be willing to undergo a criminal record check
- Drivers must have a full and valid drivers licence; Class LR or Public Passenger Authority
